my good buddy andy seistock relaunched innsbruck`s prime ski and board tuning shop. the former snowboardklinik is now the SKI- UND BRETTLWERKSTATT any tuning and repair you need for your skis and board - this is the place to go for that. thanks and for the year-long support!
innsbruck hosted a unique event some days ago, with all shops in town being open till late at night. freeride world tour buddy matthias "hauni" haunholder and me did our best to motivate the kids for a good competition-show on the air-trampolin. the party after wards did not lack any motivation either ((-;
doing the freeride world tour in winter takes a lot of energy, so you gotta get in shape over the summer. this year i had a special training: with the help of my family, we started to turn an old barn on grandma`s farm at the st.wolfgang lake 3 ours east of innsbruck into our new summer home
...and welcoming your first son in this world is incredible! say hello to keano, our baby. thanks nina for giving birth to the new epicenter of our lifes! here he is - born on april 20th at 10 pm, lightweight at 2,8 kg and 48 cm.

the best snow of the whole winter, pillow powder tree runs and alaska-style spines for a warm-up, then a contest over 3 days with 2 runs and a full day on standby. consistency counted - finishing 3rd and 2nd in the two runs i won overall, ahead of mitch tölderer and dude charlet from france. going into the last 2 events of the 2011 freeride world tour, i am now first in the ranking....pretty crazy! we will fly home to austria tomorrow, where this weekend the last event before the final in verbier is taking place in fieberbrunn, 1 hour east of innsbruck. if you are not to far away, check out freerideworldtour.com for the schedule and join us for this first ever austrian tour stop!
yeah - after finishing 5th on the north face masters of snowboarding event in crystal mountain in the usa i scored enough points to overtake a few fellows and become number 2 in the ranking behind xavier. the conditions were really rough, not much pow on the face.....but well that`s part of the game. i was happy to compete at all, since i was quite sick on the plane and it was good for me that the event was postponed to the very last day of teh waiting period.
