join us and austria`s freeride stars on this year`s tour
starting in innsbruck on saturday november 15th we will tour through europe again with some of the most soulful freeride productions of the season.
stefan häusl, björn heregger, fabian lentsch, guest stars xavier delerue and samuel anthamatten plus many more will be live on stage for you in innsbruck, hamburg, berlin, warszwa, krakau, and vienna.
i will be on stage presenting the movies & riders!
teaming up with the austrian SUP brand which makes the perfect boards for lakes, rivers & traveling
when bernhard winklehner, founder and boss of croslake approached me 2 weeks ago to ask me if i wanted to join the team, i did not hestitate to say yes. croslake produces a great range of inflatable SUP boards perfectly matching the needs of us mountain people who mainly venture out on lakes an rivers and are stoked to use a board that`s a little wider for extra stability and to bring the kids as well as it is super easily packable into any car.
since we will spend the next summers on the st. wolfgang lake in our summer house there, we will have loads of time to be on the water and if you wanna join us there to test the boarsds you are welcome!

High winds, temperatures of -25 Celsius (-13 Fahrenheit) and more tough conditions made our 2 day adventure at the bottom of northern tyrol`s highest mountain at over 3.700 meters a rough trip.

together with rider chris fuschlberger and filmers martin knoch & juls walkner plus our moral support laura perfler, our plan was simple: hike up in the afternoon, do some sunset lines, sleep in the tents, hike early for a sunrise at wildspitze at 3.770 meters, breakfast in the camp, rider the famous taschachwand and go back down to cilvilisation.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE FULL CALENDAR 2015 WITH TWO NEW VENUES IN ANDORRA AND ALASKA/USA
Lausanne, April 8, 2014 - The SWATCH FREERIDE WORLD TOUR BY THE NORTH FACE® (FWT) is entering a new exciting phase in 2015, with a comprehensive calendar including two great new venues officially announced. The tour will consist of five venues in total for the men and four venues for the women. The Pyrenean resort of Vallnord Arcalis, in Andorra, will host both men and women skiers and snowboarders, and the notorious mountains of Alaska, USA, will see a smaller group of men skiers and snowboarders just before the finals and the 20th anniversary of the “Xtreme Verbier” in Switzerland!
With my 7th place overall i am back in the tour for 2015!
Despite not making a podium this year on the tour and 3 results counting, my results of 5th, 6th and 7th are enough to put me in 7th overall in the 2014 rankings, and with the top 8 being qualified for the 2015 world tour i am in!!

What a weekend! I have never done a comp being sick before.....
After being sick with a weird virus i still knew i had to compete at the 4* fwq in obergurgl to take home the title ahead of alex hofmann. So i hiked to the start being feverish and in bad shape. It was a pity because the conditions were great and the face is a real big mountain the way i usually like it! So i rode an old man`s line with many small drops to 4th place, enough to keep alex (who won the comp) behind me in the overalls. Stoked to repeat my title from 2013 and looking forward to doing the triple 2015!!!!
