some of austrias best freeriders followed the call to fieberbrunn on jauary 9th to attend the first ever linecamp. "freeridecoaching by freeridepros" was the idea of this event i had thought about for a some time. together with mitch tölderer, world tour skiing head judge jon orarböck i tried to pass on 10 years of experience in freeride contests and filming around the world to the next generation of riders. but it was also just a super relaxed cometogether and freeridesession. max zipser and dani regensburger from innsbruck, skiers flo köfer and matthias haunholder are just a few of the names. thanks a lot to the bergbahnen fieberbrunn for the support and wolfgang and elko for the great hospitality! here are some impressions...

just before Christmas, my clothing sponsor VAUDE made us teamriders go to the canary islands for a photoshoot. we caught a few waves, hiked around the teide, spains highest peak with 3.718 meters and had a lot of fun.
this summer i managed to make my first B.A.S.E.jumping video, together with my buddy andy raciz and the crew of alpsolut www.alpsolut.com , hannes and uli. we had great fun producing it and i think you will have fun watching it. the action takes plase around the st. wolfgang lake, on of the most beautiful areas of austria. the movie is called "seitensprünge" and you can see it out on youtube HERE

ab 28. november gibt es auf der innsbrucker seegrube die avalanche safety sessions in kooperation mit www.oberhell.at, der alpinen werkstartt innsbruck.
im eigenen lawinen-suchfeld geht es im gegensatz zu anderen freeridecamps bei uns nicht um die einschätzung der lawinensituation, sondern es werden mithilfe modernster elektronik sowohl einzel- als auch mehrfachverschüttungen nach einem lawinenabgang simuliert.
bei übungen mit vergrabenen puppen können die teilnehmer den ernstfall proben, der anschließend per videoanalyse ausgewertet wird.
Am 28. und 29. November sind auch andere Pros vor Ort, um überlebenswichtige Tipps zu geben.

has been a traditional tyrolean mountain sports company for generations. the new team around markus koller focuses on special products such as high tech hiking poles, skins, special backbags and - important for us snowboarders - canting plates. since (after a big injury a few years ago) i can bend my right ankle 5 degrees less than my left one, it is only thanks to kohla`s canting plates i can still ride 100%.

after 2 weeks of flying in the spain pyrenees at the beginning of june i went on to the swiss alps for 2 weeks and i participated in the http://www.vertigo.ch/ acrobatics event in villeneve, switzerland and finished 4th! i still have to improve my loops, then next year an even better result should be possible!
